Daniel Taub As A Diplomat

Daniel Taub was raised in the U.K in 1962 and went to University College in Oxford, University College in London and University’s Kennedy School of Government. He moved to Israel in 1989 where he worked as President Chaim Herzog’s speechwriter.

He also served as a combat medic in the Israel defense forces and later joined the Israeli Foreign Ministry in 1991.Taub is also a professional in international law with specializations in counterterrorism and the laws of war. With the help of that profession, he served as legal advisor to Israel’s missions to the United Nations in New York and Geneva.

DanielTaub also helped in negotiations between Israeli-Palestinian peace process. He led Israel’s observer designation to the International Court of Justice hearings on Israeli security obstacle. He also was Israel’s representative to the United Nations investigative committee on the Gaza flotilla occurrence.

Daniel Taub was appointed U.K-Israel ambassador in 2011. He became the second U.K born Israeli Britain ambassador.Taub introduced the Bizcamp competition in conjunction with Google which led to his nomination in Grasswort Diplomat Initiative Award for the business and trade development. He also taught Bible and Hebrew classes in Westminster Abbey and the Church of England Synod. His close relationship with the British Jewish community-led to the adoption of Israel program by the Jewish for Israel’s 65th anniversary.

Taub is also a lecturer and a public speaker and has been interviewed broadly on television counting CNN, Newsnight and Sky News.
